How AIDS Changed Everything Book
Client: UNAIDS

The enormity of the book reflects the huge amount of work and extraordinary progress made in the fifteen years since the beginning of Millennium Developmental Goal 6: to combat HIV/AIDS, Malaria and other diseases. Inside, the design continues with a bold color palette and a playful, energetic mood. To maintain interest throughout, section-opener image pairs were used as a running visual theme, accessible at-a-glance chapter overview layouts, and endeavored to display the large amount of data in a way that was engaging and clear. In addition to vibrant photography I created custom illustrations of over fifty contributors. The book was designed over the course of eight weeks and was released in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on the sidelines of the Third International Conference on Financing for Development.
